at Green Park Matric Higher Secondary School:

In addition to academic excellence, we offer a diverse range of extra-curricular activities (ECAs) to provide our students with opportunities for holistic development, personal growth, and exploration of interests. Our ECA program includes:

  • Athletics: Training and competitions in track and field events to develop physical fitness, endurance, and sportsmanship among students.
  • Skating: Instruction and practice in inline or roller skating to enhance balance, coordination, and agility.
  • Taekwondo: Martial arts training focusing on discipline, self-defense, and character development through the practice of Taekwondo techniques and principles.
  • Art & Craft: Creative expression through various art mediums and craft techniques, fostering imagination, creativity, and fine motor skills development.
  • Shuttle (Badminton): Coaching and practice sessions in the sport of badminton to develop racket skills, agility, and strategic thinking.
  • Classic/Western Dance: Dance classes covering a range of styles, including classical and western dance forms, to encourage self-expression, confidence, and cultural appreciation.
  • Chess: Instruction and practice in the strategic game of chess to promote critical thinking, problem-solving, and concentration skills.
  • Yoga: Yoga sessions focusing on physical postures, breathing exercises, and relaxation techniques to promote mental and physical well-being.
  • Karate: Martial arts training emphasizing self-discipline, respect, and physical fitness through the practice of karate techniques and forms.
  • Football: Coaching and team participation in the sport of football (soccer) to develop teamwork, coordination, and sportsmanship.
  • Volleyball: Training and competitions in volleyball to enhance skills such as serving, passing, and spiking, while promoting teamwork and communication.
  • Silambam: Traditional Indian martial art training involving the use of staffs and swords, promoting discipline, focus, and physical fitness.

Our ECA program aims to provide students with a well-rounded education that encompasses academic, physical, artistic, and personal development.
