Damage to School Property Policy

At Green Park Matric Higher Secondary School, we uphold a culture of respect and responsibility towards our school environment. It is imperative that all students understand and adhere to the following guidelines regarding the protection of school property.

  • Prohibited Actions: Writing or scribbling on walls, desks, or any other school property is strictly prohibited.
  • Throwing paper, ink, or any other materials in the classroom or elsewhere on school premises is not permitted.
  • Any action that results in damage to school property, whether intentional or accidental, is unacceptable and will be dealt with accordingly.

  • Consequences: Students found engaging in activities that damage school property will face disciplinary action, which may include detention, suspension, or other appropriate measures. Parents will be notified of any instances of damage to school property, and they may be responsible for covering the costs of repairs or replacement, depending on the severity of the damage.
  • Responsibility: It is the responsibility of every student to treat school property with care and respect. Students should report any instances of vandalism or damage to school property to a teacher or school administrator immediately.
  • Education and Awareness: We are committed to educating students about the importance of maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly school environment.
  • Teachers and staff will regularly reinforce the message of respecting school property through classroom discussions, assemblies, and other educational initiatives.
  • Community Involvement: We encourage parents, teachers, and the wider school community to work together to instill values of responsibility and accountability in students regarding the care of school property. Open communication channels between school administration and parents are essential for addressing any concerns or incidents related to damage to school property. By working together to uphold these principles, we can ensure that Green Park Matric Higher Secondary School remains a place where students can learn, thrive, and take pride in their school environment.
